Common Name: Pink Moonstone
Family: Crassulaceae

The Pink Moonstone succulent is a stunning, plump-leaved plant known for its pastel pink to peach-colored leaves that look like smooth stones—hence the name “moonstone.” The leaves are oval, chubby, and covered with a powdery coating (called farina), which protects the plant from intense sunlight. This coating gives the plant its beautiful frosty or silvery appearance.
Over time, Pink Moonstone forms a compact rosette about 10–15 cm wide. Its leaves can blush more pink or even lavender depending on sunlight exposure.
______________
🌞 Light Requirements:
•    Prefers bright indirect light to full sun.
•    In stronger sunlight, the color deepens to rosy pink.
•    If kept indoors, place it near a south or east-facing window for best color and growth.
______________
💧 Watering:
•    Water using the “soak and dry” method — let the soil dry completely before watering again.
•    Overwatering causes the plump leaves to crack or fall off easily.
•    In winter, reduce watering significantly as the plant goes semi-dormant.
______________
🌱 Soil:
•    Use well-draining cactus or succulent mix.
•    Add perlite or coarse sand to improve drainage.
______________
🌡️ Temperature:
•    Ideal temperature: 18°C–27°C (65°F–80°F)
•    Protect from frost; cannot tolerate below 5°C (40°F).
______________
🌸 Flowers:
•    Blooms in late winter to spring.
•    Produces delicate, bell-shaped flowers in shades of orange or coral, growing on tall, slender stems.
______________
🌼 Propagation:
•    Easily propagated from leaf cuttings or offsets.
•    Let cuttings dry for a few days before planting in dry soil to prevent rot.
______________
⚠️ Care Tips:
•    Handle leaves gently—the white powder (farina) rubs off easily and does not grow back.
•    Avoid misting directly on leaves.
•    Too little light causes stretching (etiolation) and dull color.
