  1. 🌿 Neoregelia Bromeliad

Neoregelia is a popular genus of tropical bromeliads known for its compact rosettes, colorful foliage, and striking central cups. Unlike many flowering plants, Neoregelia is often grown mainly for its foliage—the inner leaves can turn vivid red, pink, purple, or orange, especially around flowering time. The tiny flowers usually appear inside the central water-holding cup.

    ☀️ Care tips

    • Light: Provide bright, filtered light. Gentle morning sunlight can enhance the colors, while harsh afternoon sun may scorch the leaves.
    • Water: Keep some clean water in the central cup and refresh it regularly. Keep the potting medium well-drained rather than constantly wet.
    • Soil: Use a loose, airy bromeliad or orchid mix containing materials such as bark, coco coir, and perlite.
    • Pot: Choose a container with excellent drainage and never allow the roots to sit in stagnant water.
    • Temperature: Prefers warm conditions, around 18–30°C. Protect it from frost and prolonged cold.
    • Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity, along with good air circulation.
    • Fertilizer: Use a diluted bromeliad fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during active growth. Avoid overfertilizing.
    • Color: Strong, filtered light generally produces brighter foliage colors. Too little light can result in greener, less colorful growth.
    • Propagation: After flowering, the mother plant gradually declines and produces pups around its base. Separate and pot the pups once they are well established.

🌱 Tip: Neoregelia thrives on the combination of bright filtered light + fresh water in its central cup + warmth + good airflow. Avoid keeping the potting mix constantly wet, as this can lead to root problems.
