Monstera adansonii, often called the Swiss Cheese Vine or Monkey Mask, is a tropical climbing plant famous for its distinctive natural holes (fenestrations) in the leaves. The “Broken Heart” name is commonly used as a trade name for some forms or cultivars. It has a beautiful trailing or climbing habit and works well in hanging baskets or trained on a moss pole.

☀️ Care tips

• Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Avoid strong midday sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
• Water: Water when the top 2–5 cm of soil feels dry. Keep the soil lightly moist but never waterlogged.
• Soil: Use a loose, chunky, well-draining aroid mix containing ingredients such as coco coir, bark, and perlite.
• Pot: Choose a pot with good drainage holes. Don't let the plant sit in standing water.
